I know. A friend of mine has diabetes type 2 since decades, is on high doses insulin, has had 2 major heart attacks, bg levels often around 20 and weighs close to 120 kilograms. He keeps having ice cream to treat hypos when his bg is 6 and is afraid of fat as he doesn't want a third infarct and turns a deaf ear to me advocating LCHF to get his bg and weight down. I tell him it is the high bg that is dangerous, not fat, while he eats seven slices of bread at least per day and a lot of other carby stuff as well. I am giving up on him regarding diet. His choice. I think all these years with a high carb diet and high bg has addled his brain.
