so down hearted today to see my fellow friend type 2 putting suger in his tea and has been since diagnosis ive tried soooo hard to help him with foods recipies buying him the meter to test u name it, his latest hba1c turns up at 70 i just cannot help him but kno as type 2 myself the dangers he faces if he doesnt start caring ..

I think you have done amazing things for your friend............BUT.........he has to want to do it. Obviously he doesnt mind going blind or losing a foot. Some people just dont take it seriously and cant be told.

I know. A friend of mine has diabetes type 2 since decades, is on high doses insulin, has had 2 major heart attacks, bg levels often around 20 and weighs close to 120 kilograms. He keeps having ice cream to treat hypos when his bg is 6 and is afraid of fat as he doesn't want a third infarct and turns a deaf ear to me advocating LCHF to get his bg and weight down. I tell him it is the high bg that is dangerous, not fat, while he eats seven slices of bread at least per day and a lot of other carby stuff as well. I am giving up on him regarding diet. His choice. I think all these years with a high carb diet and high bg has addled his brain.

yes i do lchf and had gtreat sucess down s1x stone now since dec and hba1c was 18 down to 34 so it works ,, carbs to me are the work of the devil lol i stay clear x
