I'm type 2 and I get hypos.RodBallantyne said:The simple diet is the 5:2 plan which is being currently researched by the University of Aston and is backed by reputable research in the US. Basically eat 600 calls/day for two days each week and eat normally on the other 5 days. on the low cal days you won't starve just eat sparingly! Couple this with exercise and you will be fine. You don't need a monitor as you won't get hypos!

I've been as low as three and as high as off the scale.
I've had a reading of twenty seven when all I've ate is two weetabix and a ham salad.

Jake,
What meds are you on? If you are on a Sulfonylurea they can give you hypos.

I was going to reply to this thread but I see that I have been forstalled. It is exactly what I was going to say.
