Considering nhs direct is calling it quit today as they aren't making a profit, it makes you think if its more about profit than anything else. To see on the program only 4 staff was on overnight and no medical trained person in a call centre was truly shocking. Non qualified medical staff giving medical advice, I cant help but wondered if the reason parts of the nhs that's privatised gives you such **** services is due to the balance sheet and nothing else. They already have the contract why bother with the decent services.

mode, it's always "about profit" when the Government is involved.
They really do not do things for the benefit of the ordinary working people
who live and work in this land of ours.

What's made it worse is that the Government, I believe, were warned in advance
the proposed NHS 111 would not be workable, how true that has now been proved.

The millions of pounds that will have been spent on this failing scheme (we'll probably
never know the full extent of it) is appalling and shameful.
It's rather sad really, isn't it. And the dashed thing is, that's the way things, historically,
have always been, and I just cannot see it ever changing.
Probably need a spiritual change to motivate a change of thinking.
