Dissapointed!

Hi guys,

Just got my HbA1c results back today, it was 8.9% (higher than when i was diagnosed!!) !?! My last one was 7.2% so I have no idea what is going on? I know i was having issues with my background and was waking up with high readings in the morning but the rest of the day readings were single figures. would this be enough to cause such a big jump? I've got my background sorted now, and thought everything was going ok, but this suggests otherwise. I'm not meeting with the DSN until the end of the month so any insight would be apppreciated

Given that we sleep for roughly 8 hours a day then if your bg levels were high throughout the night then yes it would impact on your Hba1c result, now that the problem is resolved ask your DSN if you can have another Hba1c test in 2-3 months time, hopefully the next one will be below 7.2
