It’s becoming more frequent and more excessive, a whole weekend on desserts, alcohol, and junk food. I’ve learnt my lesson. My Doctor said low carb is a way of life for me now

It's a good move.
Stick with it and keep hold of your doc.
 
Cheating means the rest of the time you feel deprived. Not sustainable. Better to find real foods you can enjoy in perpetuity and forget about the artificial stuff.

In my opinion.
 
You can generally find both savoury and sweet healthy low carb "treats" to include in your diet, so no need to cheat at all.
