Do you mean your blood sugar is usually in the teens? Is that the reading you think is good 4 hours after eating? Or is this the kind of reading you are seeing when you are getting symptoms of dizziness or head twanging? Either way, in the teens is high blood sugar and blood sugar up there or climbing could make you feel funny and cause some vision related symptoms sometimes.
The type 1 targets are 4-7 before meals and 5-9 90 minutes after eating.
Hour 1 after eating 17. Hour 2 will be 9. Hour 3 will be 7. Hour 4 will be 5.
Can't make it go any faster although i do hope for more stable reading. The alternative is to eat slowly but that means throwing away half my lunch and then snack. Which is really wasteful.
You may totally be right. I've been pre bolusing for a week. Maybe that's why the dizziness stops. But not more than 15 mins ahead though. Docs say not to. Not sure how risky it is.
