Hi everyone

Hope you're all doing okay. :D

I was just wondering, I've noticed that I keep getting the occassional dizzy spell and am confused as to whether it's related to my BS being high or low?
It happens at any time, before food or after - do you think it'd be wise to test my BS when these dizzy spells occur?

Also - speaking of testing BS - should I be testing as often as possible in the beginning? Given that I only have about 40 test strips left (is it true they restrict you to 50 a month?) I'm unsure as to if it's wise to be checking myself every five minutes!

Cheers, as always.

hello drillingcat,
I doubt that the dizzy spells are caused by low sugar if you are diet only controlled.

If test strips are tight, then the best time to be testing is around 2 hours after meals.
This gives a good idea of how your body is dealing with the mealtime carbs.

all the best,
timo.

Hello are you on any medication for high blood pressure ? It might be worth checking this out. If you have lost weight and are taking more exercise, your blood pressure may have dropped and you mayneed to adjust your medication
