Yesterday I had the pleasurable experience of dealing with DKA and I can tell you now I would not wish for anyone else to get it. Started with sickness constantly and I ended up getting kidney pain, headache, dizziness and stomach pains. I felt so miserable at the time I prayed I would pass out. So far I've had glucose, sliding scale insulin and fluids with potassium. My veins are awful and take like 3 attempts to get one so I look like a bruised pin cushion. Here for 2 nights and to make things worse I am 3 hours away from home! Thankfully on the mend but I can honestly say I never want to experience that again.

That sucks @Nicola M , here's to a speedy recovery.

Sounds like a very scary experience @Nicola M take care and hope you feel better soon.

@max_bonner Was caused by a combination of a sickness bug and insulin not working as well as it should! Trip to the pharmacy when I'm home to swap it out
