DKA??

Im really worried my level have been high latey. I have no tests for KT's im going to the doc to get some tomoz ive been felling sick for a few hour and my level are back to normal thank goodness but i still feel sick ?? Do u feel sick if u are having a dka ? I have had one befor and i was so out of it i carnt remeber im so scared i know im being silly what will happen if i do have high KT in my blood/urine . i will give my nurse a ring in the .

how high are your readings? i personally would phone nhs direct for advice if your unsure.

I would definitely phone your nurse tomorrow morning to get a test kit for ketones and if you're still feeling really unwell tonight then like JConnor said, NHS Direct might be a good idea. Bear in mind though, that in my and other's experiences, NHS Direct aren't always amazingly helpful for diabetics, I think it depends on who you have on the other end of the phone and how much the actually know about diabetes rather than what they're reading from their info.

I don't know a lot about DKA but it usually happen when there's prolonged high sugar levels. How high are your readings? And how long have they been high? Is it an ongoing thing? If it is, I would also suggest you make an appointment with your clinic/specialist for a review of your treatment plan - maybe you can make some small adjustments and get yourself on track to lowering your levels.
