I've had peripheral neuropathy for 3.5 years diagnosed as Lyme Disease but been on antibiotics for years with no improvement. Never been tested for diabetes. Got monitor. 6.4 fasting. 11.9 two hours after eating on two occasions. Also drop of 3.3 same day. Am I likely to have diabetes and where do I go from here? Thanks.

If you're worried you have diabetes, the best thing to do is to see a doctor so they can do a test. That test may be an HbA1C test or an Oral Glucose Test. They'll be able to do the test and interpret the results for you
11.9 is slightly high, however it depends on the accuracy of your meter, so it would be best to get a proper diagnostic test.
Okay thanks. I'm not worried, it would just be good to finally have an answer to my health problems. I only suspected I had a blood sugar problem because on one occasion when I had a seizure and was unable to speak, having sugar cleared my head very quickly.
Okay thanks. It's a bit difficult in Australia because Lyme is not recognised here so tend to avoid all doctors. If they ask, have you had all these symptoms investigated, I can't mention the "L" word. Perhaps I'll just lie and say I haven't seen anyone about it yet.
