Hi, thanks for the replies, I have since been to my GP and she took some blood and booked me in to see diabetic nurse on Weds. I am now using in date test strips and my morning readings are still high, but not as high as in the 9's like my 1st was. Readings when I wake have been 8.4, 7.6, 7.7 and 8.7 which I know are too high so it's inevitable that I have diabetes  I have tested after meals and they vary between 4.4 and 8.3 depending on meals etc. I have been following slimming world diet and gone easy with my carbs. What meds do you think they'll give me? If I lose weight will this help? I have a fair bit to lose BMI 39. Is it normal to feel a bit nauseous at times? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
