Hi everyone, I am new here and need some advice or information.

I went for a blood test on Thursday like I do every 6 months to check my thyroid (diagnosed) and random glucose test.
Friday the surgery phoned me to say I need another blood test HBA1C and a fasting blood test.
Diabetes does run in my family type1 and 2.

The past few months I have been very itchy and had sores through me scratching and have had many creams from my GP but the sores are taking forever to heal, I do sometimes have a dry mouth and get thirsty but that doesn't happen all of the time.

I go for my fasting test tomorrow morning, Just wondering if these are symptoms for diabetes?

Thank you

Yes they are but that's not to say you have diabetes, best to wait until tomorrow and see what your results are like, best wishes and good luck.

Good luck tomorrow. And if you need to, pop back, read, ask and discuss anything you need to with us on the forum. That's what it's here for.
:)

Good luck with the Test.
Just for info a HbA1c test, will give you a indication of your average blood Sugar over roughly the last 120 days-3 Months.
It is one of the the best tests to check for Diabetes possibality

As has been said, wait for the results of tomorrow's tests. Hopefully you will not have to come back except to give us the good news. If the news isn't so good, you know where we are, always ready to help, if needed. All the best.
