Do morning cups of tea affect BS?

Type of diabetes
Treatment type
Non-insulin injectable medication (incretin mimetics)
I'm Type 2, on Byetta 10mcg twice a day, Metformin, Gliclazide and Sitagliptin. Overall I'm happy with my blood sugar but I am curious as to whether 2/3 cups of tea (PG Tips, semi skimmed milk, no sugar) before my morning test will increase my BS results.

Does anyone know?

The sister at my diabetes clinic advises me to have a cup of tea or coff when feeling hungry instead of a snack.

Well they do mine - but you'd have to test it for yourself

its the lactose in milk that affects bs
