I find supplements often have an initial effect on blood sugars, but then it either changes the condition or we compensate for them, and you may find that when you stop a supplement, you may not see any change in levels. I am using Bitter Melon and Gymnema Sylvestre as replacement for 2 Metformin and Gliclazide doses I decided to drop. So far my bgl remains much the same, but I do get sharper rises and drops after meals. Note: this is with GP involvement, and I have tested both supplements separately in the past so I know what effects they introduce. I also take D3 while Covid is rampant and I am house-locked. I occasionally take magnesium and Chromium picolinate as supps but these are ones that only have an effect if you have a deficiency.
