So one hour after eating , if my blood sugar is 7.8 I am incredibly fatigued and often it can get to 8.9. (7.8 is like 140) Usually I try to walk after eating but I can’t every time now that I am back at work. So I suffer. I am ‘skinny’ and have good muscle for aged 60 and highcardio fitness on my Apple Watch. I am On two metformin a day total 1000mg . My hba1c was 5.6 and my two hour measures are in range under 8. But that first hour is killing me. I do 20g carbs, hell to pay if I do 30+ grand of carb . I could faceplant with exhaustion at one hour. That’s why I tried to find out what was going on with my blood sugar levels. And hungry . Your thoughts?

Our bodies are struggling to use the energy (glucose) that comes from eating carbs, instead of fueling our muscles and cells its hanging about in our blood. We get tired and hungry because our lunch is not getting to where its needed.
Base your meals on protein and good fats which we have no problem using, for us carbs are just the wrong fuel

On those numbers, I'd be inclined to ask your doctor why you are still being prescribed metformin, let alone 2 of them
