Hi I'm 11 and was diagnosed recently with type 1 diabetes on the 18th of December this year. I have just started to do my own injections and after some practise I have really excelled in doing the novo rapid injections. My parents do my Lantus because it is in an awkward position for me to do myself. My BG levels did drop this morning and I was woken up with the smell of jelly babies around my bedroom. They were lovely. I would love some advice on pumps please,
Thanks....

I have been on a pump (omnipod) for almost 2 months now and I love it it has helped my diabetes so much and nearly all my blood sugars are in range and I have the occasional hypo, I think you should wait for a bit though as you really need to understand your diabetes before you go on a pump, I had to wait over a year after i applied to finally get mine.

I don't have a pump yet, I will be getting one soon. But, I've heard that they are a lot of help with the struggle of diabetes and they help you control it more so you don't have as many lows.

Hi, I have been on a pump (Medtronic) for over a year now and it's amazing it was the best decision I made and it's much easier to control, I got mine 4 months after I was diagnosed. Also you can eat whatever you want whenever you want without having to inject it's definitely worth it.
