Just so you know the government is giving a £75000 BONUS to doctors, they say its to encourage good practice ,sadly its the other way ,they are putting the NHS budget into the hands of the doctors, and in the run up to the hand over people will have to get used to not getting treatments and not getting perscriptions ,here in yeovil its a job trying to get any thing done anyway and it will only get worse,
because the gov are scrapping the PCT,S to save millions .
So if your persciption for test strips and or lancets or anything else gets stopped ,its down to the doctors on the bases of the NICE RULES and they are simply [ITS DOWN TO A DOCTORS CLINICAL DESISION ]AS TO WEATHER YOU GET IT OR YOU DONT and this is the warm up time ,to start refusing persciptions and treatments= when they have the budget they are going save all the money they can
thats why they drive expensive cars and we dont and they have a holiday 2/3 times a year in places like bali and we dont have a holiday at all.

As we go down the slipery slope rd to private medicine this is just the start ,noticed the adds on the box for private medical treatment /private medical insurance ,all of this is going to increase because the government is winding down the NHS because it costs money ,so why not privatise it and make money ,and that is whats comming :

I am not a Dr..
But they did train for many many years to be one, and they deserve to be well paid for their training and knowledge,
I don't know the truth behind the headlines re GP salary, if it is as the tabloids say then it is too much. But it is still a fact that they train hard for many years so earn a good salary, which would buy holidays in Bali and nice cars.

The artical i saw stated that a asian doctor [a GP] got £4000 000 in a year because of the bonus scheem ,he said when questioned on this this [it was closer to £300,000 ] inc of salary.
google [doctors £75000 bonus ] gp,s do consult at hospitals gp,s do get bonus,s there are variouse grades of bonus ,but at the end of the day doctors are paid by the government what the government want for paying the doctors a bonus is not rocket sience .when i lived in poole my[ GP ]
consulted at the local hospital ,so he was elidgable but he was still [A GP ] where do you think consultants come from ?
In the comming times there are going to be a lot of cut backs ,T2,s are an easy target because as my doctor stated they get tested every 6 weeks so you dont need them!,this was followed by him saying [this is not because of cut backs ] even though the PCT had agreed to the perscription ,with no desmonds for 6 weeks ,[that was 5 weeks ago ]now [this week] the booking center is saying [end of january ]
no diabetic nurse/no pordiatrist [sent the form in 3 weeks ago ] have not heard anything .
i thought my request for test strips was reasonable but the doctor does not.

I googled, it only relates to consultants not GP's. Just because a GP does the odd clinic at a hospital it does not make them a consultant.
