Type 1 Doctors

Hey guys just a quick one tonight
I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there's any way to go about getting seen by a specific endocrinologist at a specific hospital?
I've recently moved and been transferred to a closer hospital but in all honesty I'd rather continue to see my old doctor as I've been with him for years
Is it possible lol
Thanks

You could ask your GP to refer you to him on the "basis of continuity of care".
GP are sopposed to "shop around" for services rather than being tied to local services.

I agree with @bamba - ask.
You could also contact your endo and check with them.

I think you are incredibly lucky to have the continuity of care for years.
I get to see a different one most times I have my annual review. I was told, once I moved to the pump, my care would be with the same consultant. Two years later, I've been passed on to a new one.
At least I never form a knowing relationship with them so I never find out whether they are someone I would like to stick with or not.
And I can do what I used to do with my parents when I was a kid: if I don't like their answers, I can ask the same question of a different doctor at the next appointment.
