Did you mean "reduce my Lantus"? Im a bit confused here!It seems that the only way I can prevent a hypo in the night is either eat 3 slices of brown bread (50-60 carbs) , or up my lantus but that way my blood sugar is super high in the day time , so either way im gonna have high blood sugar , and im worried about my eyes and stuff like that.
yes , I meant to say reduce.Did you mean "reduce my Lantus"? Im a bit confused here!
I had that problem with Lantus. If I wanted it to last into the next evening, I would end up hypoing in the night. You might do better on a different basal, like Levemir or the new one, Tresiba. Keep very good records and get an appointment at your diabetic clinic and ask for a change - at least that's what I would do. I had problems with Lantus for years. I thought it was me. Apparently it wasn't. It doesn't work well for many people.yes , I meant to say reduce.

I just alternate in between 31 and 30 at night none in the morning , splitting sounds good , yes I will probably ask the diabtetic nurse about it , thanks .Hi
How much lantus are you taking at night and are you also having lantus in the morning? The general starting point for lantus these days is a split dose (am and pm). however consult with your health care team.
Cheers
