Does Anyone Have The Omnipod?

Just wondering if theres anyone with the omipod tubless pump? if so do they know of any hospials in London that fund it. I currently live in Essex
but had to change my hospital to Charing Cross because the hospital i was under in Essex was terrible to say the least. I asked my diabetes nurse
at my G.P surgery about the omnipod pump and she had never heard of it, i know hospitals in Kent fund them. They look absolutley brilliant and theres no tubing to worry about.

I have it but I am up north. I do know though they are rare on the NHS funding, although they have a criteria to them basically blood sugar levels and why wireless would be better for you. The wireless is AWESOME!

I live outside of the London area so unfortunately can't help, however I will say that the Omnipod Pump is fantastic and the I've had very few problems with it so far, the fact it is a tubeless pump was one of the deciding factors which made me opt for the Omnipod in the first place over other pumps which were offered at the time @Tracey167
 
I believe it's on the list of pumps that guys and St thomas hospital support, but then they used to have cellnovo too...
 
I was given it as an option, and sent a trial one to wear... Apart from the fact that once I heard about Smartguard on the 640g I dont think I would have cared if a juggernaut had to be strapped to me ;-) For me, I didn't like that wherever you put it, it's there for 3 days... Although I know many don't think it is, I actually find the tubed pump more discreet as I like the flexibility of moving it around and hiding it with an insulin belt depending on what I'm wearing... I know loads of people feel the other way round though so maybe see if you can get a sample :-)
 
For me what's interesting about the new PDM is the integration with Dex G5. I wonder how long it is before there is an algorithm similar to smartguard?
