Do you buy your own test strips? if you do that might have a big impact on what monitor you buy.
I buy my own and have a SDcodefree which does have monitoring software, graphs etc The software is free, just need a cable. http://homehealth-uk.com/all-products/sd-codefree-diabetes-management-software-cable/
The manufacturers website has some info http://sdbiosensor.co.kr/DMS_EN which shows scatter plots, pie charts, trend charts etc
I haven't used the software myself so can't comment on it but the home health website has a free users guide so you could have a look to see if it would suit your needs, I just use excel and plot my own charts but looking at the pretty pie charts I might be tempted.
The joy of living in Wales: no prescription charges.Do you buy your own test strips? if you do that might have a big impact on what monitor you buy.

(weird for a company in business)
If you are computer savvy and can export your data as a CSV or tab delimted file, you can convert it for import into copilot. I transferred 2 months of data from GlucoseBuddy (that I had entered manually) to Copilot in about 15 minutes. The Abbott Copilot software will work as a stand alone item or upload from an Abbott Freestyle Lite if you have one. The strips are expensive but if you don't mind inputting your readings manually then any meter will do.

There's a perfectly logical reason for that (actually several). The Aviva Expert has a function that allows insulin users to calculate how many units they need based on current blood glucose readings and the expected consumption of carbohydrates. The can be incredibly useful when setup properly, or incredibly dangerous if it is not. Consequently, the meter should be setup under the supervision of a healthcare professional which is why it requires a prescription.
Contour Next has some handy trends on the device and more details when plugged in PC USB. My strips are on prescription, Nurse asked me to consider cheaper ones.
Ahh I see :¬) thanks but so does my libre and although its locked behind a password its been easily cracked
nay mind I think ill just eat lchf and hope for the best
I can break my tech bio feedback addiction I can honest I can I can I'm sure I can :¬)
I believe I am addicted to the stats and as I am weaning myself off the freestyle libre that had lots of stats I wanted something to fill the gap - apart from that nothing realy just interestedAs one non-medicated T2, to another, may I ask what you were actually going to do with all this lovely data you wanted to collect in such depth?
Thanks ill look into that :¬)you could just feed the data into my little tool as pointed to you before that does all these lovely trending . You can even plat carb intake against your BG levels and look at the daily and 30 day trends. Not on the meter though.
