Does Body-mass Index (bmi) Change Efficacy In Use Of Libre Censors?

After three months, I have been able to use only two sensors for the full 10 days. Fortunately, Libre has been replacing the ones that fail. Others here in this forum seem to have no problem so I wonder what is wrong in my case.

Might the difference be body-mass index? Mine is quite high. (30+)
Is anyone else having the problems I am seeing?

Personally, I am totally impressed with the system when it is working.
I so much like to show off my Borg Implant to anyone I meet.

My sensor "failure" rate hasn't been quite as extreme as yours, but I have had several that have been very off, or expired on me, although, as you say, Abbott have been excellent in terms of replacing those.

I have also questioned if personal build influences the likelihood of a sensor failing in any way, although I am very slight, rather than the other way. I was reassured by Abbott this was not the case, and as the Libre was approved for use with young children.

I'll be interested to hear the other feedback on your thread though.

That's an interesting question. I've had very few problems, and they work quite well for me. In build terms, I'm quite boringly average. I could maybe lose half a stone, but that's all. A lot more evidence than this is needed, but my experience does fit this theory.

@Gork I have a higher BMI than you, and find the Libre very useful. In approx 15 sensors, I have returned 2. One for falling off after 2days, the other for erratic readings. All the others have been useful to me, even if they have run high, or low, there has been consistency.

I'm very lean, and have had one dodgy sensor in three months of use.

@Gork , have you tried Glimp? I found it gave accurate readings most of the time, unlike the standard Abbott reader.
