Soft drinks like orange squash, cream soda, lilt and 'diet coke' have aspartame listed as an ingredient on their labels. Aspartame is a horrible artificial sweetener, which I try to avoid in any soft drinks. I even think that I can taste aspartame in fluids.
However, Coca Cola does not have aspartame on it's label. It just says it's a soft drink with "vegetable extracts" and lists :
"Carbonated water, sugar, colour (caramel), phosphoric acid, natural flavourings including caffeine".
The sweet taste does not seem to be aspartame. Coca Cola for me is a nice refreshing drink and I would like to know if it does contain aspartame. Can anyone shed any light on this?
