Type 1's know fairly quickly that something is wrong and can get treatment right away. Someone can have type 2 for many years before diagnosis without knowing it. A type 2 diagnosed at age 45 may have been diabetic at 30. I agree that there is really no answer to your question. All we can do is do our best to maintain good control and good health.</p></blockquote><p></p>
