Does High b/s lead to constipation

Hi,

I went away on holiday two weeks ago and my b/s ran a little high some times 10's, 11's 12's and the odd 15. But corrected when I could. I was pretty constipation over there even though I drink loads of water. Now I know of holiday constipation, so I just thought it was that, I returned home and back to my usual food and my disgestive system worked grand. But now this week my b/s has gone a bit mad and I am constipation again. Does high blood sugar affect the digestive system?

Could just be a holiday effect, but yes, high sugars can do it as your larg intestine drains water from your waste to flush your kidneys.
