The short acting components of the Mixtard doses supposedly covers the after breakfast and after dinner blood sugar peaks and the Midday actrapid does for the after lunch time lunch peak with the longer acting portion of each Mixtard supposed to cover the basal action over the 24 hours
What I wonder is how well does the evening Mixtard's long acting part deal with overnight and any Dawn Phenomenon?
Therefore what fasting BSLS and ? 4 am BSL are achieved?
Hi @HICHAM_T2, Apologies I missed your question. A basal bolus regime, short acting insulin before each meal (not Actrapid) and one or two long acting insulin shots. That way the doses can be better adjusted to deal things well the high BSLS in the evening.hi @kitedoc My Friend
