domestic job

can anyone advise me please .i have just been accepted for a domestic job only a couple of hours a night i start on monday ive been type 1 for 39 years have my hypos etc.but i have always worked in admin and now need a little part time job since all my kids are now in work and dont need me :lol: :lol: anyway ive been accepted for this job but was wondering if it is better to have my evening meal before i go or after.The hours are only from 6pm until 7.30 and only around the corner from where i live.see i usually have lunch between 1pm -to 2pm it depends on what time i have breakfast which is usually 8am.i like to leave at least 4hours between meals.i test regularly before each meal.my evening meal with all family is usually around 6pm.but i was wondering if anyone can help me if it would be better to eat my tea before i go or after, but if it after my evenin g meal would not be till about 7.45pm.because i have always kept to these times would anyone know if it would be too late to eat my evening meal at this later time.I know i will have to test blood sugars and would i still keep taking my lantus at 9pm like i do every night?thank you

If I were you I would do some experimenting, one day eat before you go to work and keep testing your blood every 20mins or so, and then another day eat when you get home, also testing yourself throughout work.

Whatever gets the best results and makes you feel better, I'd go for that!
