Dont know what to do

I'm type 2 I'm 70 years old take my meds but I get alot of thrush sending me crazy
Hi @Gail1066 , welcome to posting on the forum.

Thrush often happens if you have glucose in your urine.

What medication are you on?
Some diabetes medication (anything ending on -flozin) helps lowering blood glucose by having you pee out excess glucose, and thrush is a very common side effect.

If you're not on such a medication, what are your blood sugars like?
High numbers cause you to pee out glucose as well, in which case you might want to look into lowering your blood glucose.

I feel for you, I had thrush for ages before diagnosis and I never want to have it again!

There are many medications for diabetes, not only the ones that make you pee glucose, and a lot can be achieved with dietary changes as well.

Have you discussed your side effects and other medications with your HCP?
What is your diet like, and would you be willing to make adjustments?

When I first started dapagliflozin I thought it meant I could forget keeping my carb intake low and eat what I wanted but U-oh I got thrush just days after starting the medication. As @Antje77 says it gets rid of the excess glucose in your system by peeing it out so taking this type of medication you definitely need to keep your carbs low.
