Dont miss

Perhaps if it can't go to the side, another place is betwen the last post and the 'similar interest' box at the bottom!

Adblock gets rid of it had to turn it off to see what you where talking about. Horrible little box breaks the flow of conversation. Adblock thankfully blocks them. Not the best idea so far.

That's a good idea jopar - we'll put it after the last post on a thread on Monday - that definitely sounds a lot easier than putting it on the side!

Bowell, we only partner those companies that have the interests of the community/consumer at heart. We certainly would never 'feed people to the sharks'. Our ethos more than explains why. Several of us here have had successful claims with the company we partner for PPI claims. You can indeed do it yourself - however, some people don't even know about it - or know how to do it. Also, don't forget we're not a publicly funded organisation - so for that reason, we too need to make a living.

How do they get your number - surely that's a data protection issue/violation?

If the hospital is giving your phone number to externally agencies (with exception of social services, GP's or other relavent Agency) then they are breaking both the confidentiality and Data Protection Acts...

I didn't get this when I visited my local A&E departments, Broken Finger, Eye injury, Hubbys Mega hypo/hypothermia nor when my son suffered a serious assalt!

Gods Knows
But I have had three 999 A&E admissions since Xmas 2 stroke one suspect hart attack all with blues and twos, Week or so later start reviving phone calls ? Had one this Friday starts off with a recorded message then a transfer to sounds like Asian an operator ?
My home phone number is also listed not to receive cold calls ?

The recorded message starts with :Following your recent Emergency Admission did your know you can claim for Blar Blar I normally put the phone down by then

Only thing I can think because all were 999 calls ? or all just a coincidence

Or is it when you reg for the rip off tv and phone over your bed ?

Don't Miss no posted AFTER the topic threads (before the Quick Reply box) - let us know whether you prefer it at the top or at the bottom.

I would prefer Don't Miss at the bottom after the Quick Reply. That way it doesn't affect the continuity of the thread.

Edit: typos - can't stand them

Move it further down again? Above the advert?

Yes - I've changed my mind. ill3st has a good idea there.

Last time ill3st suggested something the forum went down!

But apart from that, we want to keep the Don't Miss above/within where the users are looking as we're planning (once decided where to put it) to refresh it daily with new links to different site contents/downloads, etc.

Lol ooops sorry!

I bring the suggestions me!

I prefer it where it is now, not going to fall into the trap of using the word bottom in case I leave myself open to mis interpretation!
