Excellent talk on you tube, Sorry I don't know how to post links. But Dr Miller is a cardiac surgeon and his talk is titled Enjoy Eating Saturated fats. Its about 50 mins long but well worth watching. It explains how we got the lowfat/high carb diet.

It is aren't you clever. Have you watched it?

Wow.

He mustn't be one of the 99.999% of Cardiac Specialists who apparently think that a high-fat diet is bad for you...

(Since there are 30,000 Cardiac surgeries carried out in the UK each year, surely there can't be more than 5000 cardiac surgeons, therefore there can be maximum of 99.98% of cardiac surgeons that think that fat is bad for you. I bet the real number is a lot lower).

As you know borofergie 60% of the time saturated fat is bad for you every time.

Dr. Dwight Lundell is another one, although now retired. He's been interviewed by Jimmy Moore and Dr. Robert Su.

Funnily enough someone independently sent me the link on Facebook:

So we're down to 99.96%

Mark my words, this is the trickle before the dam burst. I'm sitting in a big old bag of "told you so" which will be deployed as soon as it does.

I know I'm veering completely off topic - but here is the origin of my '60% of the time quote'; from the mighty mighty Anchorman - an almost perfect comedy.

Oh Dillinger, there are literally thousands of other T1s that I should be with instead, but I am 72 percent sure that I love you.

He certainly is I've just had a review with my Cardiologist, and had picked up this piece before i went....Discussed it with him, and his answer was that thousands do not support this theory and therefore they must be right

We agreed to disagree but he promised to carry out some research.............Don't think that'll happen.....he was probably just glad to get rid of me

You're so wise. You're like a miniature Buddha, covered in hair.

I had watched Dr Donald W Miller Jr's talk before and added him to my list of physicians I wave at HCPs

I really hate this idea that the majority must be right.
I remember doing a series of experiments at University and plotting a graph of my results. EVERYONE else in the group got a straight line graph. I came up with a "S" shaped curve. I was ridiculed by the class "genius" for not knowing how to plot graphs. I stuck to my guns. When the work was marked by the professor, I was the ONE person in the whole class who had valid results.
I'm not saying this to prove how clever I am, but to show what honest science can do. I didn't massage my data. Most of my classmates assumed what the results would be and adjusted what they found to fit thetheory. A whole University class of potential Ancel Keyses!!

PS we actually invented a conversion factor as students. We called it "The Universal Bench Constant". It's the number by which you need to multiply your results to get tthe RIGHT answer. I don't think i ever used it but most did

Get a room you two!

Er yes, Not sure i don't prefer he confrontational posts. Which would be leas suitable for the kiddies i wonder?
