hi all newly diagnonesd 6 weeks with type 2 /borderline type 1 its my 40th this weekend whats you advise about drinking as having a "surprise bbq" on Sunday all advise and tips would be most appreciated blood levels are between 8-10

Much depends on what medication you are on, but generally speaking avoid beers and stick to red wine or spirits with sugar-free mixers.

Thanks for that I'm on 4 metformin a day and 2 gliclazide a day
