Hi, I was recently diagnosed with Type 2 so I was concerned about driving and how this would affect my insurance. I don't have to inform the DVLA but I rang my insurers to inform them as I thought I should. They have said if the DVLA do not need to be informed neither do the Insurers. Don't know if all Motor Insurers are the same, this was Aviva. Obviously if I feel at any time I am not fit to drive I will do something about it! Good news though as I do lots of driving as part of my job!
 
Im with Direct line they made a note and said it doesnt effect anything.
