I have just joined this site and would like to ask a question.A friend of mine told me last night it was 72 birthday yesterday that my driving licence would or could be revoked when I am 73 or I might need a doctors OK to renew it. I am type 2 and take pills to control it with no side effects what ever, can somebody tell me if this is true please . Ted.

At the age of 70 you had to fill in a form to renew your licence and it is then renewed every 3 years as long as you are fit to drive. This applies to anyone once they reach the age of 70.
You only need a Drs say so if you have certain medical conditions.
