dropped insulin vial

hi everyone,
can someone please help me out on the following:
my brother who is diabetic dropped his vial of insulin (humalog), the vial was therefore shaken and had lots of bubbles but they subsided after a couple of minutes.
only thing is the doc told him that shaking the vial may damage the insulin and as it was dropped im worried his insulin is damaged.

anybody able to offer any insight or advice?

I don't use vials but I frequently manage to drop my prefilled pen on to a wooden floor from about three feet. I make sure any bubbles are removed by doing an air shot straight up in the air. I haven't noticed a fall in the expected performance of the injection. But I do test later as usual to see what level I am at.
