I take Toronto, NPH and Metformin and I was wondering why I have to not take any drugs just prior to having labs done. I had my labs done today and my blood sugar was 4.9 when I woke up and one hour later after blood taken it was 9 5. It is usually higher on lab days. Can someone tell me why I cannot take insulin prior to lab work.
