Speaking to a lady living nearby and what came up in conversation was that she donates to the Diabetes Research and Wellness Foundation knowing that James has diabetes. I must admit I felt so ignorant in that I had not heard of this. Has anyone here heard of it . I have gone to their website but sometimes wonder if some websites are genuine or not.

Yes, I had heard of it, I know a bit about them and that they sometimes organise conferences and walking holidays .
If you're ever worried about whether a charity is legitimate then you can look them up on the Charity commission website.
