DUK and knocking the NHS

I don't want to get too carried away, but it strikes me that Diabetes UK's constant knocking of the NHS lately seems to coincide 'quite nicely' with a corporate partnership with Bupa.

There is more than one side to this. Baroness Young, their new Chief Exec, was previously the Chair of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) which regulates health and adult social care in England. So this offers an alternative, or at least additional, reason for why Baroness Young may be keen to point out NHS failings.

Are DUK constantly knocking the NHS? Decide for yourselves. Here are their NHS related news stories this year:

Alaska - well said!! When I first joined this forum after finding the website I was delighted because previously I was looking weekly at the news on DUK and getting so annoyed that all they did was knock the NHS. As with anything in this World, the NHS will get it wrong but bad news is always better for reading numbers.

I know some people here have had awful service from the NHS but to date I can do nothing but praise the team who are looking after me. No, they are not perfect and people here are helping me to challenge what I am being told by them but in four years they have looked after me very well.

My impression of DUK is that they are a one way street, unlike this website which is a veritable 10 lane super highway in two directions.
