Hi ,

Just wanted to pick everyones brains about the dvla again!!!
My boyfriend has just reapplied for his C1 , C1+E license to drive the lorry for work.Hes just been to see his consultant and cant believe it but he put his monitor with the 3 months memory of meter readings throught the washing machine on Friday !!!!
so his consultatnt wasnt able to see the evidence . He hasnt had any hypos etc and the doc is going to send a covering note to say whats happened but thinks he may have to reapply in 3 months ( by which time he may have lost his job) .
This has been going on since the end of May  !!
Anyone else experienced this ? Any advice ?
Thanks

Hi,
Basicly your BF's consultant can not lie on the form as it's his job on the line. So it's down to your BF to provide the info.
Simple solution is to keep a paper record or download weekly onto his own computer. Then the proof is there for all to see.

Hi,
He has luckily got it all written down in his charting log so his consultant has seen this .Just wasnt sure as he hasnt seen the monitor but has written a covering letter to say seen paper record but dont know if they will take this as proof?

Hopefully the paper records will be enough. Going forwards, it might be worth investing in one of these machines that you can plug into your computer. That way he will always have a back up, just in case :)

Really hope so as its horrible seeing him get so stressed as he suffers form anxiety and depression anyway and this doesnt help in the slightest  .
Hes so scared that he will lose his job.
The monitor that the hospital has him use also checks for ketones as he has had a history of them , not sure if you can download info to comp but will check that and make a diary note to do this every week  .
