Tesco is working with Diabetes UK as their National Charity Partner to raise £10 million. The money raised will help create healthier communities, and help support those affected by, and at risk of, diabetes. The partnership aims to support the 3 million people who have to live with diabetes every day; help hundreds of thousands of people to take action to reduce their risk of Type 2 diabetes; and fund investment into groundbreaking research to find a vaccine for Type 1 diabetes.
The money raised will fund research and awareness to improve early diagnosis and detection of cancer. The earlier cancer is diagnosed, the more likely treatment is to be successful and it’s estimated that thousands of lives could be saved each year in the UK through earlier detection of the disease .
By returning your empty inkjet cartridge, you can choose to collect 50 or 100 Green Clubcard Points, donate 50p/£1* to Diabetes UK or donate 50% of your points to Diabetes UK & have 50% credited to your account.
Diabetes UK is a charity registered in England and Wales (215199) and in Scotland (SC039136).
*Tesco will transfer all donations to Diabetes UK.
