I was in hospital for 14 weeks at this time 2 years ago - 8cm deep bed ulcer (not diabetes related), now completely fine - BIG lesson learned! There was a point when I didn't know whether I was coming out with 1 leg missing, or in a box.What the heck tonight like a guy who is completely blind one missing a leg and the other missing toes.
To say I'm traumatised is an understatement though from what I've read 95%+ of retinopathy can be treated if caught early enough

Last night, Ian's son got him an Eatwell plate, with one third portions of protein, carbohydrates, and veg marked on it. Ian said he didn't need it as he is a chef and knows what he has to eat.
On Monday's episode Ian was having a fruit salad for breakfast and saying he was dreaming of having bacon and eggs.
