Diagnosed 22/08/2016 BS 18.4 Hba1c 92 10.3% Weight 109 kg. ( 114 kg at highest) 5kg lost low fat diet 1-22 Aug
Given myself three months LCHF diet before taking drugs ( and its worked at least for now !)
Strategy: Stay in Ketosis 0.5+ , LCHF 30g carbs Fast to my ketone meter then eat to my glucose meter, (now libre freestyle) . Currently trying the "LOW INSULIN diet" - LCHF real foods, 1,000- 1,600 calorie (mixed up) eaten ONCE per day Om/Om 6 balance, no processed foods or industrial vegetable oils. http://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/blog-entry/a-unifying-theory-of-disease.1795/#comment-2213 and now fasting if I can ( Work in progress)

Aim for 10,000 steps average per day -(90 minutes) by walking everywhere under 4 miles away.
Currently trying High Intensity training ( 10 minutes per day) plus natural walking cycling, swimming lifestyle ( ie less time needed overall) Dress size still coming down, first time I've ever maintained weight loss for 18 months. LCHF works for me.
