Eating a favourite food?

thanks for the thoughts.

I've managed to get through the day without giving in to the urges. so I'm pretty happy that I'm going to bed with my sugar levels still at the low end of my normal range.

tomorrow's another day.

Well done, it can be so very hard to just ignore those urges.
I’m definitely going to try a couple of the alternative suggestions people have posted here though. Hope they work for you.

Personally I would far rather have cauliflower cheese.
I warm up an earthenware bowl whilst steaming some frozen cauliflower, just before the cauliflower is totally cooked I put it into the bowl, cover it with cream cheese, consider seasoning - herbs or paprika, then cover with grated Red Leicester cheese, put it back into the warm oven until the cheese is melted and slightly golden. Allow it to cool to a safe temperature before eating.
Some people like a layer of stronger cheese.
It is so simple and delicious.

I always give myself a virtual pat on the back when I avoid a craving and say to myself “another small victory”. This works nearly all the time for me although I have had an odd lapse very occasionally.
