Im pre diabetic and getting my BS into the 5s so today I had some home made chips for a treat. Two hours after it went up to nine, does that mean I shouldn't eat them anymore?

Hey Maddie!

Try a smaller portion. You don't really want to see 9s on your meter :(

nah, just means you shouldn't have so many though. :)

we in the Cooke household now have oven roasted Sweet Potato chips... peel and cut them into chunky chips/wedges, coat them with olive oil and herbs, spread them on a non-stick tray and then pop in to a fan oven to bake at 200 deg C for as long as required. Not as firm as real chips, but far better on my BG levels... Just don't try and turn them over half-way through, they tend to come apart...

MW does great chips made from courgettes coated in parmesan cheese ... lovely. Like others have said though just eat a few less to end up under 8ish on your meter. Unfortunately for me less is 5 average sized chips :(
