I survived mainly off omelets when I was in Spain recently. Everything in restaurants comes with chips and when taken away all that is left is a measly meat portion. A nearby supermarket sold roast chickens so I had one of them per day. Hardly gourmet eating but I kept my BS under control.
Carbohidrato is the word to look out for on packaging !

@asparagusp Ooh spooky! My daughter flew to Amsterdam this morning and I have just received a text from her which reads, "complimentary food and drink on the plane, diabetes friendly lol" next to a photo of two bags of smoked almonds and a small bottle of red wine

Well I am back from Spain and the food was so yummy! Tortillas (con patates ..... and in one case onions and garlic sitting in olive oil), salads, Gazpachos, stuffed peppers, grilled pork in a whisky sauce with garlic cloves with a few patatas frites! ..... I was very impressed too with the bar,, On Time, at Seville Airport!
