Hi All

Last night i went out to a Restaurant for tea, for one night i forgot i had diabetes and ate a full fat, carb loaded meal - with a dessert, didnt test to see what my sugars were doing either......felt great to eat "normally"!!

Back to low carb, low fat and low GI today.....

Good for you.
I did the exact same last night including a big plate of profiteroles and chocolate sauce-yummy!!!
However, I had only been diagnosed last week and the night out had been planned for ages so I was wary and I did test myself- 5.7 when I came home and only 9.3 this morning so it wasn't as bad as I had expected. Maybe the alcohol helped to bring it down!
It's good to know that we can have nights off.

It's lovely to treat yourself sometimes and it really doesn't do any damage if you go straight back on the wagon afterwards. Testing spoils it so leave it, as you did, until the following day. Glad you enjoyed it!
