am a type 2 diabetic on back ground insulin and tablets these r not metforming going out 4 a Chinese meal what best to eat

This is what I usually look at:-

Starters: salt & pepper spare ribs. Vegetable based soups,
Mains: most meat based mains Ok particularly if lots of veg but avoid sticky sauces or battered deep fried dishes, Most vegetarian dishes are also OK.
Sides: Replace rice with portions of bean-sprouts, water chestnuts or bamboo shoots.

My blood sugars are generally fine after two hours even if I have a small Chinese beer as well.

Obviously different foods affect individuals but I hope this helps you choose something you enjoy

I agree there except I would watch the soup sometimes they are very carby as I have found out ! There are usually lots of meaty things to eat and if you keep away from the rice and sweet sauces you should be fine .E njoy your meal
