Eating the right food

Hello everyone. Over the years I have been eating Cornflakes, Rice crispier Weetabix and always my morning sugar was a bit high and thus causing blurred vision.
For the last few weeks what I have discovered that eating Oats in the breakfast do keep sugar level between 4-6. I do add a little milk in the breakfast as well.
Oats do another good job by clearing a little bit of the arteries I am very happy with this breakfast and thought why not share with you guys, perhaps it can help you as well.

Many diabetics can eat oats but you need to test at one hour to see if there is a 'spike' in your blood sugars.

Often there is a sharp rise at one hour which then drops back to a normal level at two hours.

Some even find that it will rise at the three and four hour mark as well. The only way to find out is to test.

I suppose this is another instance of a food being ok if you are on insulin. I am using diet and exercise as control and cannot tolerate oats at all - as ever test, test, test! :)
