Dr David Unwin has created a low GI diet educational module to help GPs talk to their type 2 patients.
I am thinking that he has called it low GI so has not to scare the horses!
This has been produced by the Royal College of GPs so that is encouragingly mainstream!
I suspect that a lot of the information contained in that course will be very new to most GPs and their T2 patients.
Those of us who know about insulin resistance, carbs and controlling carb intake are a very small minority compared with the millions of T2s out there 'in the wild' who are encouraged by their health teams to eat carbs at every meal 'for energy'.
Take the pre course assessment (5 questions) and then compare yourself to the GP average score!
Its a quick and easy course and David has done some fab take away info sheets.
Is there a way to access this without registering and giving so much personal information? They even want your inside leg measurement - well it feels like it!
