Effect of pregnancy on diabetes

Hi there,
I am interested to know if being pregnant accelerates the progression of diabetes please. Since being diagnosed type 2, I am worried that being pregnant would make my diabetes worse, so much so I am reconsidering whether to have children or not. I am 37 so don't want to put it off too much longer though. Does anyone have any experience of this please?

Can't hep as I had my children prior to diagnosis but I would think that you will get plenty of support from your HCPs during the pregnancy.
Will bump your post up as there must be members here who have had children post diagnosis.
